Physio

Physiotherapy is a science-based profession and takes a ‘whole person’ approach to health and wellbeing. I understand the way you move and how your body functions affects daily life, physical performance and your ability to keep healthy and injury-free.

I assess your body with in-depth postural analysis using the Integrated Systems Model (https://learnwithdianelee.com/the-integrated-systems-model/)  to find the cause of your pain, wherever it may be in the body. I then treat using Acupuncture, taping and hands on Physiotherapy to get you back to your goals, painfree. I use stretches and exercises specific to each person's problem. This helps to keep your body released and well-aligned for daily movement, activities and the goals you want to perform pain free and with optimal function. The home exercise programme also provides you with the long term solutions to keeping your body happy and healthy.

Pelvic health physiotherapy

This is the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction in men and women. I treat women antenatal, post natal, perimenopausal or post menopausal. At all these stages of life the pelvic floor dysfunction can cause: incontinence, urgency, prolapse, pelvic pain, painful sex and a tummy gap (diastasis rectus abdominus). Men can also require Pelvic Physiotherapy as they may suffer from incontinence, overactive bladder, bowel dysfunction and pelvic pain. Physiotherapy treatment before and after prostatectomy surgery will help in the rehabilitation post surgery.

Musculo-skeletal physiotherapy

Musculoskeletal disorders can affect almost any part of the body from the back and the neck to the limbs, hands and feet. Our bodies will often cause us pain or dysfunction at some point in our life.  I have many years of experience and am here to treat these dysfunctions and make sure I get you back on track to reach all of your goals.

Acupuncture

I use acupuncture which is a very effective method to release tight muscles (trigger points) that I have found in my assessment. Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles through the patient's skin at specific points to stimulate the nervous system, muscles and connective tissues and can encourage pain relief and promote healing and well-being.
